CIOs Embrace DevOps; Send Wake-Up Call to IT Staffs

Two months ago CA Technologies released the results of a global survey with IT leaders conducted by Vanson Bourne on the topic of DevOps. Among the 1,300 respondents were 261 who identified themselves as CIOs (or CTOs). The remainder held job titles such as Senior VP, Director, Manager and other IT titles. When we look at the survey answers from just the CIOs and compare them to the rest of the IT respondents, the differences are striking and provide some interesting insights into how CIOs fundamentally view new trends and technologies differently than their teams. They also serve as a wake-up call to IT leaders who need to make sure they are on the same page as their boss when it comes to DevOps.
